MetaDesign casts iGuzzini in a new light

Lighting specialist iGuzzini used the showcase of Light+Building 2006, Europe’s leading trade fair for architecture, to unveil its new web presence. iGuzzini, a family-run company based near Ancona on Italy’s Adriatic coast, is represented in over 60 countries. It works in close collaboration with renowned architects and lighting designers such as Santiago Miranda, Renzo Piano and Norman Foster to develop lighting solutions that fulfil the highest quality and aesthetic standards. Recent projects to be illuminated by iGuzzini technology include the historic center of Siena in Italy, the Oriental Art Center in Shanghai, and Renzo Piano’s Paul Klee Center in the Swiss capital Berne.

iGuzzini has been working with MetaDesign on the concept and realization of its online strategy for over five years. During that time, the website has become increasingly important to the company as a forum for presenting its philosophy and products to a worldwide audience.

Piergiovanni Ceregioli, responsible for online media at iGuzzini: “It was crucial for us to work with a partner who understands our culture, one who is able to convey the idea behind our ‘Partners for better light’ advertising campaign and optimize it for this channel. Not only did we get a convincing treatment, but also a significant strengthening of the brand in the form of integrated communication.”

Dr. Alexander Haldemann, partner in MetaDesign, Zurich: “It is a special privilege for us to work with an Italian-based client who has the most exacting design criteria. Particularly in view of the additional cost burden due to the distance. We feel all the more honoured that the management of iGuzzini places its confidence in the quality of our concept and design work.”
