In July 2010 Merck KGaA, a pharmaceutical and chemical company based in Darmstadt, Germany, acquired Millipore, a laboratory supplier based in the USA. The branding and corporate identity experts from MetaDesign in Berlin advised the new partners during the merger through a comprehensive brand definition and positioning process.
