MetaDesign China recently designed an iconic “Pop-Up Pavilion” for the launch of “the 21st Century Beetle“ in China. Following the concept idea “The stage is yours!” the pavilion covers around 230m2 and combines indoor space for car display with an outdoor event stage, a seating area together with an open air lounge on the rooftop for the audience to participate in several launch events.
Following a pitch selection, MetaDesign Beijing has acquired OPPO, an electronics manufacturer based in Dongguan, Guangdong, China. Over the next six months, MetaDesign and OPPO will work together to create a leading brand in the global smartphone market. The rebranding process will include auditing OPPO’s brand performance, developing a brand strategy and translating it into a corresponding look and feel.
2012 marks 40 years since the start of diplomatic relations between Germany and China. A number of important bilateral talks and events will take place in Beijing during this anniversary year celebration.
MetaDesign, a global corporate identity and branding agency, was ranked number five in the category “creative brand design and advertising” in a nationwide survey of the best consulting companies in China for 2011. The survey was conducted by Jing Li Ren (Sino Manager), a leading management journal. This result places MetaDesign Beijing, in its first year of operations, on the same level with established agencies with far longer histories on the Chinese market.
The new flagship store MetaDesign China had designed for Bosch Home Appliances and the kitchen manufacturer Schüller was inaugurated in Shanghai on October 25th.
